City of Prospect has taken a number of important and proactive steps to protect our community and staff as we face this unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide Public Health Emergency.

We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

City of Prospect is committed to providing you with the best waste, recycling and green organic services and effective waste management services for our community.

Council uses a three-bin system. This reduces environmental impact by sorting waste.

The local community also plays an important role. By utilising the waste, recycling, and green organic services properly, we can all minimise the amount of waste that goes to landfill.

Report an Issue is an application to have Council take some form of action to provide services or works.  Council’s Customer Request Management system provides an online portal for requests to be made for a variety of Council services.

We value our local environment and recognises the important role that Council plays in preserving and enhancing it. Council is committed to fulfilling our environmental responsibilities. We do this by ensuring that all operations and activities carried out by and on behalf of Council, comply with or exceed statutory environmental requirements.

In consultation with the residential and business community, Council undertakes strategic planning to improve and protect the area's natural and built environment, and the natural resources on which we all depend.
