COVID-19 update

City of Prospect has taken a number of important and proactive steps to protect our community and staff as we face this unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide Public Health Emergency.

We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

Community Bus

Our Community Transport program has currently been suspended in response to the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

Council cares for its community and this change of service comes as part of our local response to this global issue.  Naturally, we apologise for any inconvenience caused but trust you understand this position.

Hop aboard the Community Bus!

The Community Bus Service is provided by City of Prospect, and is administered by a part-time coordinator with the assistance of volunteers.

Bus arrival times are approximate, and will vary due to changes to pick-up schedule or unforeseen delays. The Community Bus is fitted with hand rails and seat belts for your safety.

This bus also has easy access for passengers with a disability.

Library Visits

Prospect Library also offers a door-to-door library visit. As an extension of the Home Library Service, this service is for those residents who are unable to get to the Library but still like to choose their own books.

The bus can pick you up from your home on the second Thursday morning of each month and take you to the Library, where you can browse and borrow items. The bus will then drop you home afterwards.

Day Tours

Day tours are run on the second Monday of each month to popular destinations in and around Adelaide. A donation of $10 per tour is appreciated. Each tour includes a lunch stop over at a hotel or cafe, or bring your own lunch.

Pick up is at 8.30am and the return time is approximately 3pm. All trips are wheelchair accessible.
