Community Bus
Residents of City of Prospect are eligible to use these community bus services as an ongoing participant or when needed.
Community bus hire
Does your community group need transport for your next event? City of Prospect offers friendly, affordable bus hire for local groups running for not-for-profits events, activities or services.
Your hire includes:
- Seating for up to 10 passengers (plus driver)
- Up to 8 hours hire time
- One of our friendly volunteer drivers (subject to availability).
Current fees
- Flat $180 fee for the first 100km
- Only $1 per additional km (pre-approved)
- $200 refundable bond
- Up to $200 cleaning fee (if required).

Prospect Precinct bus service
We're introducing the opportunity to experience the buzz of Prospect Road the first and third Thursdays of each month. Our goal is to have you feeling part of a vibrant community, and feeling connected with other community users.
Visit the library, do some shopping or simply enjoy socialising at one of many cafes and lunch locations the popular precinct has to offer.
How it works:
From 10:00am, our service will pick you up directly from your home and transport you to Vine Street Plaza (next to the car park).
When it’s time to return home, you are welcome to make your own way home or choose to be picked up at 12:30pm from Vine Street Plaza.

Door-to-door shopping service
This door-to-door shopping service runs to Northpark Shopping Centre (corner of Main North & Regency Roads) on Tuesdays and Fridays.
With more than 40 stores in one location, this offers a convenient place to shop or run errands. The service offers you 1½ hours in the shopping centre.
Times for pickup vary from 9.00am depending on numbers and availability. The bus will return you home from 11.30am.
Due to limited space on the buses, there is a limit of 2 shopping bags or 1 personal shopping trolley per person.
