COVID-19 update

City of Prospect has taken a number of important and proactive steps to protect our community and staff as we face this unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide Public Health Emergency.

We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

Effective as of Monday 29 June 2020, the Prospect library is now open as part of SA’s Phase Three Recovery but with the following restrictions:

  • 1 person per 2m2 of publicly accessible space
  • Social distancing and hand hygiene practices are still strongly encouraged at all times
  • If you are experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home and speak to your doctor about getting tested for COVID-19.

At this stage the Library will be open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 5pm, Thursday from 9am to 7pm, and Saturday 9am to 4 pm. Sundays we are closed.

Some services are still currently impacted by COVID-19 including children's and adult programming. Please ring (08) 8269 5355 for updates on when these services might be restored.

Council cares for its community and this change of service comes as part of our local response to this global issue.  Naturally, we apologise for any inconvenience caused but trust you understand this position.
