Transport Services

Social programs transport

City of Prospect’s Community Transport buses are utilised for many of our social programs and collect residents from City of Prospect or Town of Walkerville for our activities and outings.  Wheelchair/gopher friendly.  For more information about booking for transport with our Social Programs, please contact Prospect Community Support on (08) 8269 5355.

Weekly shopping

City of Prospect

Any resident of City of Prospect is able to book for Community Bus transport to Northpark Shopping Centre each Tuesday and Friday (excluding public holidays). Wheelchair/gopher friendly, door to door service.  Various times are available – please book for weekly shopping transport assistance by contacting the Community Transport Coordinator on (08) 8269 5355.

Town of Walkerville

A Town of Walkerville Community Bus service is also available for residents of the Town of Walkerville. Priority is given to people who do not have private transport options and have difficulties using public transport, such as elderly people, people with disabilities and carers.

The community bus service to North Park/Sefton Park Shopping Centre runs every Friday except public holidays.  Pick up times are 10am, 11am and 12noon.

This is a door-to-door service. Residents are picked up and returned to their home.

Council will send out an information pack which must be completed and returned to the Council. You must be registered to be able to use the service.

Medical appointments (CHSP funded)

Prospect Community Support may be able to assist with return, full-fare cab charges to a Medical Specialist appointment (up to four trips each year) for eligible residents.   If you are registered with My Aged Care we can assist you to make enquiries and/or arrange a transport referral. Call us on (08) 8269 5355 for more information.

We do require that residents accessing these support services contribute towards the costs, which vary according to the service. If you’d like some more information about any of these services please phone 8269 5355. If you’re not yet registered with My Aged Care, please phone 1800 200 422 to register so we can assist as soon as possible.
