Toy Library
As well as books, the Prospect Library also loans out toys, games, and puzzles of an educational nature to children under the age of 12.
These items provide fun learning experiences whilst promoting child development in language, numeracy, social interaction, muscle development, imagination and creativity.
Story-based toy library guide
Our Story-Based Toy Library Guide is designed to help you and your children enjoy a positive experience at Prospect Toy Library. Created for both children and adults, this guide explains how to borrow and return toys, and what to expect during your visit. We hope it will ease any anxiety for first-time visitors and provide clear, simple instructions to support a smooth and successful visit.
Prospect Toy Library was fortunate to receive funding from the Australian Government of Social Services, through Toy Libraries Australia, to create this story-based guide. It can be especially helpful for families of children with developmental delays or additional support needs, including ADHD and autism, by helping them feel more prepared and confident when visiting Prospect Toy Library.
