Have you ever wanted to try your hand at pasta making or needed a specific tool for a one-time task without committing to buying it? Look no further! The Prospect Library of Things is here to help.

Our Library of Things offers you the opportunity to explore new equipment, get tasks done, or practice new skills before deciding to invest in household items.

This not only saves you money, but also frees up space at home, reduces waste and promotes community sharing and trying new things.

How does the Prospect Library of Things work?

Using your regular library card, you can borrow up to two items from the Library of Things for a loan period of up to two weeks. It's that simple!

What can I borrow from the Prospect Library of Things?

Our collection includes a variety of useful and exciting items, including:

  • Kitchen utensils
  • Garden implements
  • Party planning accessories
  • Tech
  • Assisted living aids
  • Tools
  • Crafting notions

We are always looking to grow our collection and welcome community suggestions for future Library of Things additions.

Prospect Library of Things terms and conditions:

  • Borrowers may check out a maximum of 2 items at a time.
  • You can keep the items for up to 2 weeks.
  • Items are not available for hold.
  • Some items may only be borrowed during staffed hours (9am - 5pm Monday – Friday, and 10am - 4pm Saturday).
  • Please return the items fully cleaned and in the same condition as when you borrowed them.
  • If items are returned not in clean or complete condition, borrowers will be asked to take them home and clean them, or in some cases, replace the item.
  • Prospect Library and City of Prospect are not responsible for any damage caused by using these items.
