For animals found, an Animal Management Officer will attend to collect the animal from you as soon as possible.

We always aim to reunite animal with their owners however when we can’t, such as when dogs are found wandering at large within City of Prospect and have no identification, animals are impounded at:

The Animal Welfare League charges City of Prospect fees for the care, housing and feeding of animals impounded at their facilities.  These fees are charged to the animal’s owner or person collecting the animal and must be paid in full to Council before the dog can be released.

Payment may be made in person to City of Prospect, 128 Prospect Road, Prospect. For further information, please call us on 8269 5355.
