Home Library and Bus Visits
In response to the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, some of our library services have been suspended.
Council cares for its community and this change of service comes as part of our local response to this global issue.
Naturally, we apologise for any inconvenience caused but trust you understand this position.

City of Prospect understands that some residents encounter challenges when it comes to visiting the Library. With this in mind, we provide two free services to ensure that everyone in our community can enjoy the resources available.
If you’re prevented from visiting the Library due to disability, ill health, mobility problems, caring commitments, or for any other reason, please read on for information on how we can assist you.
Home Library Service
Residents within City of Prospect, who are temporarily or permanently prevented from leaving their homes, can access a free Library resource pickup and delivery service, which occurs once a month on a Monday.
A volunteer and staff member will choose books (and other library materials) based on your preferences and deliver the items to your residence.
Community Bus Visits
Prospect Library also offers a door-to-door library visit. As an extension of the Home Library Service, this service is for those residents who are unable to get to the Library but still like to choose their own books.
The bus can pick you up from your home on the second Thursday morning of each month and take you to the Library, where you can browse and borrow items. The bus will then drop you home afterwards.
City Of Prospect is proud of the services that we provide as part of our commitment to inclusion, and the enrichment of the lives of all our residents.
Please phone the Library on (08) 8269 5355 to make enquiries about the home library service or to book a place on the bus.
