Young Reader Program

To encourage literacy in the youth of South Australia, Prospect Library has teamed up with Palace Nova Cinemas to launch the Young Reader Program.

How the Young Reader Program works

Open to all readers under 18.

  1. To earn stamps, participants simply borrow books using their own Under‑18 library card. (Books checked out on a caregiver’s card will not count toward stamps)
  2. After borrowing and enjoying their books, participants return them to Prospect Library or West Torrens Library during staffed hours. When returning books, participants show the completed book/s to a library staff member
  3. For every book read, participants receive one stamp on their stamp card. Stamp cards are available at both Prospect and West Torrens libraries
  4. Once all five boxes are stamped, participants can take their completed stamp card to Palace Nova cinema to redeem a double movie pass.
