COVID-19 update

City of Prospect has taken a number of important and proactive steps to protect our community and staff as we face this unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide Public Health Emergency.

We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

Christmas Closure

Payinthi (including the Council offices, Library and Newmarch Gallery) will close for the Christmas period from 1pm on Thursday 24 December 2020 to Sunday 3 January 2021 (inclusive). Payinthi will re-open on Monday 4 January 2021.

Some Council services will be effected over the festive period.

Library items Due dates will be automatically extended until after the Christmas closure, and the after-hours chute (at the front entrance of Payinthi) will be open for returns across the holiday period (please note – toy library items can not be returned during the closure period).

Bin collection

There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Friday 25 December, collections will instead be on Saturday 26 December.

There will be no collections on New Year’s Day Friday 1 January, collections will instead by on Saturday 2 January.
