| Description | Celebrate African music and culture with Ras Minano and Hope of Africa band, joined by Appiah Annan and Mmaleetjema ‘Elsie’ Shirley Masehela. Coming from Ghana, we are privileged to have Appiah Annan (having last year, performed with Asanti Dance Theatre at Womadelaide 2023) joining Ras Minano with the Hope of Africa band to bring an amazing Ghanaian musical extravaganza. Featuring traditional instruments, including Kora, Djembe, Kpanlogo and Konogo. Also hailing from Ghana, Ras Minano is an accomplished Afroreggae/Afrobeats and World Music artist. Ras has achieved international recognition winning the USA WAM Reggae/World Music Song of the Year Award in 2020 with his song Africa Oseeyeii and in 2021 with his song WOMBA. Ras is powered by his Band ‘The Hope of Africa’, a collective of talented Adelaide based musicians and together they bring World Music to the stage. Joining, from South Africa, the beautiful Mmaleetjema ‘Elsie’ Shirley Masehela. Enjoy the unique African sounds and dance along to the music. Content Warnings: Loud Noises |
