Details of Project
The Devonport Terrace Streetscape Upgrade includes construction of new kerb and gutter in areas where it is required, garden beds with irrigation, and rain gardens to capture water runoff and improved pedestrian access around the station entrances with pram ramps.
Disruption to residents is expected to be minor, however due to the nature of the construction works, access through Devonport terrace will be limited and should be avoided where possible.
Devonport Terrace Project Update - 13 June 2021
Works continue with the construction of stand-up kerbing adjacent the rail corridor, and excavation of the verge area for the construction of irrigated landscape garden beds. The state-wide lockdown for covid will delay the work program, but contractors will make every effort to minimise the delay and impact.
Works completed in previous period: (28 July – 11 August)
- Completed kerbing from Avenue Road to Elizabeth Street
- Continued Asphalt Reinstatement between Avenue Road and Elizabeth Street
- Continued Excavation of Garden Beds from Avenue Road to Elizabeth Street
- Commenced Construction of TreeNet inlets from Avenue Road to Elizabeth Street
- Commenced Kerbing repair work between Elizabeth street and Pym Street
- Commenced Kerbing construction between Pym street and the 1838 Development
Works Forecast for next period (12 August – 25 August)
- Commence Irrigation construction between Avenue Road and Elizabeth Street
- Continue Kerbing repair works between Elizabeth Street and Pym Street
- Continue Kerbing Construction between Pym Street and the 1838 Development
- Commence excavation for garden beds between Pym street and the 1838 Developments
- Complete construction of the TreeNet inlets.

- Construction of stand-up kerbing between Allan Avenue and Avenue Road
- Excavation of verge areas for the construction of landscaped garden beds between Elizabeth Street and Avenue Road
- Saw cut road edge in preparation for asphalt
Forecast works planned for upcoming period: (13 July – 26 July)
- Completion of final sections of kerbing between Elizabeth Street and Avenue Road
- Continue excavation and preparation of Garden Beds between Elizabeth street and Avenue Road
- Commence irrigation works between Elizabeth Street and Avenue Road
- Asphalt reinstatement between Elizabeth Street and Avenue Road
- Commence Garden Bed excavation and preparation between Belford Avenue and Pym Street.
