How to join
Membership of the Prospect Library service is available free of charge. To obtain a library card you need to provide proof of identification in the form of a photographic ID and your current address on an official document. If no photographic ID is possible, then two official documents with your current address are required to be sighted.
If you are under 18 years, signature of parent/guardian is required.
If you’d like to apply for membership and are not already a member of any SA Public Library, click on the link below and add your details. Then come into Prospect Library to sign and pick up your library card.
Our library is part of the One Card Library Network, connecting 130 public libraries throughout South Australia. You can use your library card to access items from anywhere in the State. Reserve an item and it will be delivered to your preferred library.
Library collection guidelines
The Collection Development Guidelines have been developed by Prospect Library Service with the aim of presenting the broad operational guidelines to people throughout the City and to its elected members and staff.
