Eligibility

Eligibility

Residents of City of Prospect and Town of Walkerville are eligible if they are –

  • older and frail people (65 years and over); and/or
  • younger people (18 – 65 years) with a disability.

Priority of Service

Our services will favour residents who -

  • are at imminent risk to health and safety;
  • lack access to other government programs;
  • lack family support and at risk of having to move into supported accommodation; and/or
  • have a financial inability to engage private services.

Caring for our Diverse Community

Prospect Community Support acknowledges our residents who may require additional consideration during the assessment process, service planning and delivery.  These residents may include:

  • people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities;
  • people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities;
  • people who are financially or socially disadvantaged;
  • Veterans;
  • people who are at risk of becoming homeless;
  • Care-leavers (including Forgotten Australians, Former Child Migrants and Stolen Generations);
  • Parents separated from their children by forced adoption or removal;
  • people with dementia/memory loss;
  • people with a physical, intellectual or psychosocial disability; and/or
  • gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and intersex (GLBTI) seniors.
