Payinthi (128 Prospect Road, Prospect), including Council offices, Prospect Library and Newmarch Gallery, will close for the Easter long weekend on Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April, inclusive. We will also close on Friday 25 April for ANZAC Day.

Note: Bins normally due to be collected on Friday 18 April will be picked up on Saturday 19 April. All other collections will happen as normal.

Calls made to Council on 8269 5355 will be transferred to our after-hours service centre.

Prospect Spring Fair

Saturday 26 October 2024 - 10am to 3pm at Broadview Oval / Yarnta Tutu yarta.

What an amazing day we had!

A huge thanks to our community for coming out to enjoy the 2024 Prospect Spring Fair! What a fantastic day with over 7,000 people attending.

Thank you to all the volunteers, stallholders, performers, clubs, staff, suppliers, dogs and Dachshunds for helping to create such a magnificent event.

There was so much to see and do at this year's fair! Some of our favourite moments were:

  • The crowd-favourite Dachshund Mini Dash saw a bunch of sausage dogs race their little hearts out as they competed to be crowned the fastest Dachshund in the North!
  • Live music and entertainment by Blackfriar Priory School's band, The Drops, Adelaide Afrobeat Collective, Lucas Day, Malibu Drive, Band of the South Australia Police - Radio 5 and Zumba with Cindy Adelaide
  • Amusement rides, including the Super Slide, Tea Cups, Sizzler and Whacky Shack
  • Sideshow games including basketball
  • Petting farm and nursery – your favourite friendly farm animals were there to pet and feed
  • Free kids activities including face painting, henna body art, arts and craft workshops, airbrush and glitter tattoos and mini golf course
  • More than 50 market stalls including hand-made and artisan wares, jewellery, local services and community groups, sporting clubs, doggy products and more
  • Delicious food, dessert, slushies, juices and coffee vendors
  • Pop-up licenced bars serving a variety of tasty beverages
  • Free giant lawn games including epic giant Jenga, corn hole toss, quoits and Connect 4
  • Circus Play Space with free activities including poi, hula hooping and juggling
  • Colourful roving entertainers on stilts
  • SA Metropolitan Fire Service brought one of their big red fire trucks for wannabe firefighters to explore and educate on fire safety
  • Faces of Prospect Community Mural with artist ArtbyBoky
  • Flyball (dog racing) Arena – Para District Obedience Dog Club and Dover Gardens Dog Club saw a range of dog-breeds race in teams running and jumping over obstacles to retrieve a ball.

2025 Prospect Spring Fair

The Prospect Spring air will be back on Saturday 25 October 2025. If you are a musician, performer, sponsor, stallholder or food vendor and you are interested in participating in the 2025 Prospect Spring Fair, please contact admin@prospect.sa.gov.au to express your interest.

Stallholder applications will be open mid-2025.
