Project principles
While undertaking the Prospect Lifestyle Precinct project, Council is committed to the following guiding values and beliefs:
- We will be guided by evidence to inform decisions (market research, long-term use, community engagement)
- We want commercial/retail returns to support the delivery of infrastructure and reducing reliance on rates.
- We will have a precinct approach to concept development (including the Main North Road site, Prospect Oval, Memorial Gardens and North Adelaide Croquet Club)
- We are comfortable being presented with options (including potentially land revocation) to facilitate mixed use development (community space/commercial)
- We are comfortable for the precinct to reflect an accessible community open space, alongside a premier sporting destination
- We will facilitate value for money opportunities and/or partnerships to deliver community and commercial infrastructure.
