Expression of Interest form
Thank you for your interest in joining the Schools Precincts Safety Community Reference Group (SPSCRG) as a community or resident representative.
The SPSCRG is an advisory forum focused on parking, traffic and pedestrian safety within school precincts. Council is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for up to two community representative positions. The initial term is 12 months and the appointment will be considered as part of Council’s review of the Group after its first year of operation.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday 5 November from 5:30 to 7:30pm, and applicants should be available to attend. Subsequent meetings are expected to occur approximately every six months.
Community representatives are expected to read meeting material, attend meetings where possible, participate respectfully and consider the interests of the broader community rather than only an individual issue or location.
How applications will be considered
Applications will be assessed against the information provided in the Expression of Interest form, including:
- the applicant’s connection with City of Prospect and our school precincts
- their interest in parking, traffic, pedestrian safety, accessibility, education, travel behaviour or related community issues
- relevant lived, professional, volunteer or community experience.
Council will place a high priority on achieving broad community representation, including residents of streets most directly affected by school drop-off and pick-up activity, and carers of children attending schools within City of Prospect.
Community representatives will be appointed by the Chief Executive Officer or delegate in accordance with the Terms of Reference.
