Climate Change

Review of Climate Change in the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges NRM Region

In partnership with the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management (NRM) Board, the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation has recently completed a review of the vulnerability of NRM to climate change in the Board's region.

The review report entitled "There's a Change on the Way - Projected Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Options for Natural Resource Management in the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Region" reviews recent climate change predictions, and within the limits of current science, summarises the range of likely climate change impacts on NRM in the region.  The vulnerability to climate change of different sectors within the region was assessed, along with likely adaptation opportunities to emerge.

The Board has produced a brochure summarising the projected climate change impacts and adaptation strategies for NRM in the region, as identified in the Department's report.  It has been produced to inform people with existing awareness of, or professional experience in, NRM in the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region of the emerging challenges associated with projected climate change.
