2020 Exhibition Applications Now Open

In late 2019, Prospect Gallery will move into an outstanding new space on Prospect Road and become the Newmarch Gallery. Like Prospect Gallery, Newmarch Gallery will be a high quality, contemporary exhibition space run by City of Prospect with a strong community focus.

Newmarch Gallery exhibitions in 2020 will usually run for six weeks and open on a Friday night at 6pm.

Seeking proposals:
• of innovative artwork in 2D or 3D media in which the audience experience is considered (please note, projection and sound is available for the 2020 exhibition program)
• of new work that has not been exhibited in the Adelaide metropolitan area, in both solo and group exhibitions.

Applications open Monday 12 August 2019 and close Monday 30 September 2019 (for exhibitions February – Dec 2020).

10th Prospect Portrait Prize Applications Now Open

The 10th Prospect Portrait Prize is a juried exhibition. Prospect Gallery invites contemporary approaches to portraiture. We seek the artists’ unique interpretation of the subject.

Members of the Prospect Arts Action Network (PAAN) will assess and select the finalists for the exhibition which opens 5 December 2019. Finalists will be selected on the artistic merit of work and conformation to conditions of entry. The selection panel will consider the work in relation to presenting a cohesive Prospect Gallery exhibition.

Applications are open until Friday 30 September 2019.

2019 and beyond

The Prospect Gallery located in the Prospect Library will be staging a final series of exhibitions during 2019 in the lead up to the construction of a new gallery integral to City of Prospect's Community Hub, Library & Innovation Centre development (CLIC).

CLIC is located alongside the Prospect Town Hall as part of a co-located facility bringing together the library, gallery and digital hub, council administration and civic facilities. Currently, it is anticipated to open the facility in September 2019 with the opportunity to exhibit in the new gallery from February 2020.
