We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

Get Active

City of Prospect is inviting young people aged 5 – 16 years to Get Active and participate in Council's first sports program during the Spring school holidays.

The program will be held across various locations from Monday 28 September to Saturday 3 October and provide participants with an opportunity to try new or different sport and recreation activities FREE of charge.

Fun sample sessions will be facilitated by local sports clubs and businesses with options including dance, karate, soccer, tennis, cricket and more.

The Get Active program aims to boost young people’s self-confidence, increase physical activity, provide links to local sports clubs and have a good time!

Monday 28 September

Sk8 Therapy
Join our Australian Skateboard Federation accredited and experienced coaches to learn how to skate confidently! The lesson will build your self confidence, resilience, social skills and promote a healthy active lifestyle.
Where : George Whittle Reserve - 56 Churchill Rd, Prospect
Session : 10:00am - 12.00pm
Suitable for : 5 - 16 years

Y Dance Stars
Fun session to music, learn technique, body shapes, choreography and experiment with movement mixing a range of dance styles in a session with lots of variety.

Basketball
Join the North Adelaide Rockets Future Stars coaches at George Whittle Reserve. Learn basic basketball skills such as dribbling, guarding and shooting and play lots of fun basketball games!

Come and try tennis
Pick up a racquet and have a hit! This is a great way of getting into the sport and learning basic technique and movement.  The session is delivered by a professional tennis coach and all equipment is supplied.

BMX Bike Riding
This one hour class will provide an introduction to the track, obstacles, basic pumping, pedalling, balancing, turning and jumping!
