Draft Planning and Design Code

The State Planning Commission has released the draft Planning and Design Code for community consultation. The Planning and Design Code will replace the Prospect (City) Development Plan (and all other Development Plans in the state) by July 2020.

Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the Planning and Design Code were released for consultation on 1 October 2019.  Phase 3, which will apply to City of Prospect, will be available for consultation until 28 February 2020.

The State Planning Commission and the Department of Planning Transport & Infrastructure are hosting two community information sessions on the draft Planning and Design Code Phase Three (Urban) in the Prospect Town Hall.

The sessions will begin with a presentation and there will be an opportunity to ask questions of departmental planning staff in order to understand how the Code will affect you.

While there are two sessions, they will cover the same content.

Sessions are on 3 February 2020 at 4.00 pm to 5.30 pm or 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm at Payinthi, 128 Prospect Road, Prospect.
