John Pearce

Director City Growth and Development

John Pearce

John Pearce has spent his career driving economic value for organisations; now he is invested in growing Prospect’s prosperity.

Instrumental in putting Adelaide Airport’s new terminal on the international stage, John recognises Prospect is a jewel in Adelaide’s inner-city crown.

Our new City Growth and Development Director, John values Prospect’s perfect blend of ‘cosmopolitan & sophisticated’ with a ‘country feel’. He believes it’s a thriving community and its why he lives there with his family.

John specifically chose Prospect to live when he relocated back from Victoria seven years ago; He was drawn to the eclectic nature of Prospect. You’ll find him strolling down Vine Street Plaza, shopping at Schinella's, or jogging through one of Prospect’s many parks. He loves the easy proximity into the CBD for a bike ride along linear park.

It is this quality of lifestyle, for his family, that inspires John to give back to his fellow peers by strengthening Prospect’s trajectory to become one of South Australia’s most desirable places to live, play, pray and work.

He believes balancing economic prosperity with environmental amenity is an artform.  This love of the eclectic mix of business and cosmopolitan life has drawn inspiration from his global travels. An avid traveller, John’s favourite global destination is Jerusalem, another melting pot of culture, food, religion, history – He says capturing this energy and heartbeat, is the foundation artform of economic prosperity; Something our city of Prospect is rapidly developing a reputation for.

Achieving this long-term prosperity in Prospect, John will draw upon his formal property, asset management and finance valuation qualifications, as well as his working experience in leadership, strategy, governance, and retail asset development across several industries including real estate investment trusts, airports, shopping centre developments and management.

A people person who values relationships, John is a confident and capable leader, with a proven track report in developing and mentoring his colleagues and staff. He enjoys empowering others to achieve their professional and personal goals and strives to assist them in reaching self-actualisation. He relishes the challenge of creating and nurturing outcome-focused teams who succeed in delivering strategic plans within challenging environments.
