Chris White
Chief Executive Officer
Chris White is City of Prospect’s Chief Executive Officer, an established leader, experienced lawyer and a loving husband and father of two small children.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Western Sydney University, and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Technology, Sydney. He has practiced law in three countries and was first introduced to local government through providing legal services for councils facing development challenges.
Chris has always enjoyed leadership. He is a firm believer that a leader’s value can only be demonstrated by their ability to enable and empower others and draws positive energy from coaching and guiding others to achieve. Prior to his start at City of Prospect in October 2021, Chris spent time at Thomson Reuters in New York, Marsdens Law Group in Sydney, and several small and large councils across NSW and SA - most recently Liverpool City Council and City of Onkaparinga.
Outside the office, Chris enjoys tending to his working farm on the Fleurieu Peninsula, metal fabrication, motor racing and connecting with his family and friends.
With a passion for local government and the direct impact councils have on the lives of their residents and businesses, Chris is committed to ensuring City of Prospect delivers the best possible value for every ratepayer dollar. He looks forward to working closely with the Prospect community, its elected representatives, and council staff to ensure positive community outcomes.
