COVID-19 update

City of Prospect has taken a number of important and proactive steps to protect our community and staff as we face this unprecedented situation of the global COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic and the nationwide Public Health Emergency.

We need to take all reasonable steps available to protect our community, our Elected Members, our staff and volunteers (and their families) against the spread of this infection while ensuring we deliver services as close to ‘business as usual’ as possible.

Poppies in Payinthi

In 2015, the Prospect community created a beautiful river of hand-made poppies to commemorate the 2015 ANZAC Day Centenary. The poppies were knitted, crocheted and sewn and made with materials such as wool, paper, fabric and felt. Free workshops were held to teach the community to make their poppies for the project.

in 2020, our poppies will once again be on display here at Payinthi from 24 April – 24 May 2020 as our commemoration of Anzac Day this year.

Lest we forget.
