Council has undertaken great consideration and planning to create and implement a Strategic Plan for our vision and aspirations for our community. This plan guides our focus and activities as we approach 2020.
Why we have a Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan to 2020 assists Council to direct delivery of services and initiatives for the benefit of all City of Prospect residents and visitors, both now and into the future. The Plan has been informed by extensive community consultation with consideration given to other key strategic documents including the State Government 30 Year Plan for Greater Adelaide, SA State Premier – Seven Strategic Priorities and key Council documents including the Better Living Better Health – Regional Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
What the Strategic Plan sets out to achieve
The Plan is designed to inspire action and clearly articulate the direction of Council. It’s a high level statement of what we want to achieve for our community in four key areas…
The Plan is supported by more specific strategies that guide decision making and day to day management of our City.
Achievement of Council’s Strategic Plan is determined within Council’s Annual Business Planning Process, which includes the Annual Budget, Long Term Financial Plan, Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan and Rating Strategy.
At quarterly Council Meetings, Council is updated with reports on the actions completed towards achievement of the Strategic plan
Copies of the Strategic Plan to 2020 are also available from our Customer Service at 1 Thomas Street, Nailsworth.
