City of Prospect and Town of Walkerville provide a coordinated and strategic approach to create a Council environment that is supportive of young people and embraces youth participation and empowerment.
To do this, both Councils provide and facilitate a range of services and activities for, and by, young people. Over the years, these services have grown and evolved, resulting in a high level of participation and satisfaction. These Councils have partnered with a number of other organisations to provide the best possible services and facilities to support youth in the local area and beyond.

The live music venue
Club5082
is an initiative of City of Prospect and Town of Walkerville, which provides musicians with an opportunity to hone their skills live at the Prospect Town Hall and to professionally record their live performances.

The Eastern Region Youth Network is a combined effort between seven local Councils, which provides key stakeholders with a vehicle to identify and then lobby for youth-focused services in the region. |
|
The Eastern Region Alliance produces the When it hits the fan youth services directory. The directory is designed to give youth easy access to the information they need, at the time when they need it the most, such as legal advice, mental health services, or simply how to get involved in their local community. |

In collaboration with Three D Radio (93.7FM) and local Councils, the
YouthFM
initiative gives young people a unique opportunity to receive training and develop skills in radio production, with a YouthFM radio show aired weekly on Three D radio.
