Prospect Tram - part of the Heritage CollectionThe Prospect Heritage Collection was opened in 1986 as part of the SA 150 Jubilee celebrations. It is located within the library, in an area first used as the school's girls' cloakroom, and the original Mintaro slate floor has been retained.

The Collection is being developed as a means of preserving various materials and records important to the history and cultural development of Prospect.

For the historical researcher an extensive collection of South Australian government publications and South Australian private business and society archives is held by the Mortlock Library at the State Library of South Australia.
