Water Wise Communities

City of Prospect is proud to be a foundation member of a new WaterWise communities initiative launched by the State Government and the Local Government Association.

The WaterWise Communities initiative aims to encourage councils, residents, businesses, schools, churches, sporting and recreational facilities to pledge their commitment to being responsible water users and reduce water consumption by partaking in the program.

This new initiative follows on from the highly successful Showerhead Swap and Save exchange program. The ongoing water savings made by City of Prospect residents through this program equated to approximately 3,875,000 litres water annually.

City of Prospect strongly encourages its residents, businesses and community groups to join this new initiative and continue the great work our community is already doing to become more water wise.

All registered participants will receive a free WaterWise Communities Kit.
