The responsibility to respond to pollution incidents is shared between the Environment Protection Authority and local government.
Council can assist with:
Local air quality concerns eg: wood smoke, backyard burning, odours.
Stormwater pollution from residential properties and mobile and other businesses. Examples include oil, coolant, paint, cement slurry and other types of waste water.
The community is the Council's eyes and ears and we need your help to respond to stormwater incidents as soon as possible.
If you observe an incident, please phone the Customer Services Centre on 8269 5355 24 hours, seven days a week.
