9th Prospect Portrait Prize Winners

The prestigious 9th Prospect Portrait Prize exhibition was opened by Liz Nowell, CEO of ACE Open, who also judged the winner. The $5000 prize generously donated by Terry Howe Printing Services was awarded to Margaret Ambridge for her work titled ‘What Remains’. An Adelaide-based artist working primarily with charcoal, Margaret has been a finalist in many major Australian Art prizes including the Waterhouse and the Kedumba Drawing Award.

The $500 Packer’s Pick prize, selected by City of Prospect staff and Councillors, was awarded to artist Lauri Smith for The Secret Conversation of Snow Yaks.

The third prize category was the People’s Choice Award of $1000, once again generously sponsored by Terry Howe Printing Services. Judging was open to the public and the artist who achieved the most votes was Jamie Priesz.
