Prospect Road Urban Improvement

City of Prospect, in conjunction with SA Power Networks and the Power Line Environment Committee (PLEC), have agreed to undertake undergrounding of the powerlines on Prospect Road (between Olive Street and Gordon Road), further to the previous work already completed south of the Village Heart Area. The undergrounding of powerlines will be undertaken by SA Power Networks, followed by a reconstruction of the streetscape along Prospect Road by Council.

As part of the planning stage of the reconstruction, Council are considering all possible options to plant trees along the streetscape. There are limiting factors however, such as existing underground utilities (Telstra, SA Power Networks, etc), space confinements, property access, sight line impairment and road clearance issues. While Council will make every effort to include the planting of trees as part of the reconstruction, it has not yet been determined the number or location of trees that will be planted.
