Community Bus

The Community Bus Service is provided by City of Prospect, and is administered by a part-time coordinator with the assistance of volunteers.

Bus arrival times are approximate, and will vary due to changes to pick-up schedule or unforeseen delays. The Community Bus is fitted with hand rails and seat belts for your safety.

This bus also has easy access for passengers with a disability. For wheelchair access, please phone 8342 8043.


Priority Access

Priority is given to people living in the Prospect area who do not have private transport options and have difficulties using public transport, such as elderly people, people with disabilities and carers.

Prospect Library Run

The Library Run operates on the 2nd Thursday of each month, arriving at the Prospect Library at 10.15am and departing at 11.00am.
This is a door to door pick-up and return service. Please phone 8342 8170 to book a seat.

Regency Medical Clinic

Commencing early January 2016, each Wednesday, council’s 10 seat community bus is available to pick-up residents from their home, drive to the medical service arriving at 10am in time for pre-scheduled appointments with one of the eight doctors available. At the conclusion of the appointments, it’s back into the community bus and on to North Park Shopping Centre to visit one of the chemists.

Door to Door Shopping Service

The Door to Door Shopping Service goes to North Park and Sefton Park Shopping Centre each week.
Seats on the bus are subject to availability. Please phone 8342 8043 to book a seat.

Tuesdays
1ST TRIP - Pick Up from 8.00 am. Return 10.00 am.
2ND TRIP - Pick Up from 9.00 am. Return 11.00 am.

Fridays
1ST TRIP - Pick Up from 8.00 am. Return 10.00 am.
2ND TRIP - Pick Up from 9.00 am. Return 11.00 am.
3RD TRIP - Pick Up from 12.00 pm. Return 2.00 pm.

There is a limit to the number and type of shopping bags that can be carried. Please ask the driver for more information.


Day Tours

Day Tours are run on the second Monday of each month to popular destinations in and around Adelaide.

Destinations in 2016 include;
   January - No Day Tour (Public Holiday)
   February 8 - Victor Harbour/Hindmarsh Island
   March - No Day Tour (Public Holiday)
   April 11 - Clare/Lyndoch area
   May 9 - Hahndorf/Littlehampton
   June - No Day Tour (Public Holiday)
   July 11 - Wellington Court House
   August 8 - Mystery Tour
   September 12 - Strathalbyn
   October 10 - Barossa Valley/Lyndoch area
   November 14 - Mannum/Murray Bridge (Otto’s bakery)
   December 12 - Victor Harbour

All trips are wheelchair accessible.
Donation per trip is $10 to help cover costs.
Each tour includes a lunch stop-over at an enjoyable Hotel/Cafe or bring your own lunch to picnic at a scenic location.
Pick up from 8.30am and return by 3.00pm, however all times are approximate. Pick up will be from the address supplied to the Coordinator.

Bookings will only be accepted 1 week prior to trip and only by ringing the Coordinator’s phone number on 8342 8043.

A donation for your Bus trip will be gratefully received and is essential to meet the ever increasing costs for running the service.
