If you are passionate about the City of Prospect area and want to be part of a great collaborative Arts project in 2019, then this is your chance to combine your story with ours, and the rest of our community!
We are giving 15 local people that love our council area the opportunity to be selected to create one of 200 custom made tiles. These tiles will be used in the 2019 Community Tile Bench that will be part of the new civic building at 128 Prospect Road.
If you want to be part of this exciting project, please submit your details and attach your image/ file on the form below.
Send us in your best image for a chance to have it selected as part of this history-making project!
To enter you must have submitted your form and image by 5pm Monday 10 June 2019. Winners will be notified and sent an overall digital image of where their tile sits on the finished product.
Some finer details to note:
The things we want to see: images that represent our community new and old, historical images, murals, iconic shots, streetscapes, events and festivals, famous photos, art work from school students, sculptures, photos of mosaics, anything that represents our community, individual artwork.
The things to avoid: To avoid having your images withdrawn from the project, please avoid family 'happy snaps', logos, commercial business or organisation promotion, religious and political features, offensive material, text heavy images, borders or filtered images.
Copyright: When you submit please ensure you have copyright to provide the art work if it is a private collection item. If it is already in the public area we will contact the artist (eg public murals or sculptures).
- The tiles will be 10cm x 10cm so therefore please forward square images. If portrait or landscape images are forwarded we will crop to suit the tile shape as best we can.
Image quality must be high resolution (minimum 300dpi). Most recent phones and cameras will take images of this quality if sent in to us using the original size.
- If you require assistance with scanning images or getting them to us, please contact Levineke Renner via firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 8342 8124 who can assist with tips and tricks!
- Your local library will also be able to assist with scanning of documents or original works at high resolution.
We look forward to seeing what Prospect means to you in the images you send through and cannot wait to see the finished product!
