Community Hub, Library and Innovation Centre

Our working name for the new Centre is... the CLIC.

Expanding numbers at Nailsworth Primary School has meant that the building currently housing the Prospect Library, Gallery and Digtial Hub (the Thomas Street Centre) is to be reacquired for the school's use.

Following extensive investigations, consultation and deliberation, we are excited to announce that the CLIC will be located on the site of the existing Council Civic Centre. As part of a co-located facility, the CLIC brings together the library, gallery and digital hub, council administration and civic facilities. The project also affects Council's Main North Road site, with the relocation of depot functions and sale of the site, although investoigations are underway into possibly retaining the historic Tram Barn in Council ownership.

More detailed information can be found at the Engagement Hub site: https://cityofprospect.engagementhub.com.au/

What Next?

The community will continue to be updated on the progress of the project and a future consultation process will focus on the elements of design as we work towards construction time.
